The pictures were taken around the Medicine Hat area after a windstorm last week. (Medicine Hat is in the southeast corner of Canada's province of Alberta, near the Badlands.)  The bales apparently weigh up to 1600 lbs and some were reported to have rolled up to 5 miles; others were rumoured to have gone even farther.  This is where some of the bales ended up.
