Salmon Rushdie's comments on Sarah Palin

"She couldn't talk about an issue to save her life."

-Salman Rusdie on Sarah Palin

Janeane Garofalo, Salman Rushdie and author, John Fund were talking about Sarah Palin not knowing what the Bush Doctrine is on Bill Maher's show. Salman threw out the above quote.

He went on to say,
"If she doesn't know that the most important foreign policy shift this country has made in a hundred years is the Bush Doctrine, which said that a preemptive strike is appropriate...she doesn't know that?"
There are a number of wonderful moments in it. Enjoy.

Can you fix the title of this? Normally typos are not so important, but "Salmon" seems a bit insulting to the guy, I think.

It's a pretty sad state of affairs when a guy has to make a typo to get a comment - are the pedants the only ones who can type?

And by the way, it's an excellent fish and he's really only a mediocre writer, so maybe it's not as insulting as all that when you stop to think about it.

Have you actually read any of his books? There aren't any on your bookshelves.
