Donkeysong: more braying, less Beethoven

According to today's Taipei Times, the small Sicilian city of Castelbuono has replaced its four garbage trucks with six donkeys in an effort to save money and help clean up the environment. The article ends by stating that several other Italian towns are following suit.

Castelbuono is a town of 10 000 people which means Taichung would need at least 600 donkeys, but probably many more given how much is thrown away here. All that braying might start to get on people's nerves, but it would be less likely to jam into their heads as irrevocably as that damned garbage truck song. I used to enjoy Beethoven.
